The Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) Annual Conference took place September 14-16th, 2015 in Nashville, Tennessee. The AFLA Annual Conference seeks to provide networking and strategic-level corporate fleet training opportunities for fleet industry professionals. In attendance this year was Mark Conroy, VP of Sales and Marketing at Union Leasing who said:
“As is the strength of AFLA, the networking opportunities with both new and seasoned members from all walks of the fleet management industry will allow us to bring fresh ideas in trends and technologies to our clients.”
This year the conference featured presentations on topics including strategic sourcing, autonomous vehicles, economics of the automotive industry, legal and legislative police updates in fleet, and more. On returning from the conference Mark told us:
“This year’s AFLA kept its promise on the theme, The Future is Now. Speakers took us forward with a look at automation, technology and innovations to come.”
In addition to attending, Union Leasing was also a Bronze Sponsor of the conference. Furthermore, Union Leasing is proud to say Mark Conroy, Union Leasing VP of Sales and Marketing, was nominated for the 2015 Fleet Hall of Fame. The Fleet Hall of Fame recognizes fleet industry leaders and pioneers who have made significant contributions to commercial fleet management. Nominees must have spent at least 10 years in a fleet career and were selected by their peers.
Mark was one of only 19 nominees for the Fleet Hall of Fame in 2015. He has been in the fleet industry since 1978 and his experience has included B2B sales, sales management, marketing, and international marketing/coordination. Mark was also president of the AFLA from 2007 to 2008.
During his 34-year career Mark has managed national sales forces for medium and large-sized fleet management lessors. He now manages the sales force at Union Leasing, assisting companies seeking solutions to reduce costs and keep their fleets innovative.
Congratulations to Mark on being nominated for the Fleet Hall of Fame and thank you for your continuous contributions to Union Leasing.
